The verdict

Situational

Both are free and earn PC Optimum at the same stores; income decides which one you can get. The World Elite pays 3% at Loblaw grocery banners and 4.5% at Shoppers, and adds travel medical and rental car insurance, but needs $80,000 personal or $150,000 household income. The World card pays 2% and 3.5% with purchase assurance and extended warranty only, at a lower $50,000 personal or $80,000 household bar. If you clear the World Elite's bar, take it: nothing on the World card beats it.
