The verdict

Same Aeroplan points, very different cards. The TD Aeroplan Visa Infinite charges $139 but includes a free checked bag and a much richer welcome bonus; the CIBC Aeroplan Visa is fee-free but earns slower and skips the bag perk entirely. Anyone who checks a bag on Air Canada even once a year clears the TD's fee immediately — the CIBC card is only the right call if you want Aeroplan earning with zero commitment.
